Even the CW12 back stage crew are some of the most experienced and inspirational Welsh Women!
Two Peas in a Pod!
Ruth Exell and her daughter Izzie Stevenson who may also be volunteering back stage
Ruth Exell was on the founding committee that set up Pontardawe festival and has been instrumental in making it so for over 25 years! She is also a cracking musician. Looks like she may also be bringing Lynne Gent, another Pontadawe founder and long term organiser, as well as her daughter Izzie.
In addition, Creative Director of Head for Arts, an organisation who deliver Community Arts across the 4 Counties of the Head of the Valleys, Kate Strudwick, will also be joining the back stage crew. Kate plays flute with Allan Yn Y Fan so I'm hoping to convince her to give us a few tunes at the Festival, as well as helping out back stage!
This dream team have been back stage together at Festivals for almost a lifetime! I am blown away to have them joining us as volunteer crew.
